Courses 102, 103, 201 and 202 are designed for people who have previously attended a Dreamwork 101,  and want to deepen their skills and knowledge to work with others:
They are also requirements for NZ’s only Certificate in Applied Dreamwork, which is tutored by Margaret and Endorsed by the Human Development and Training Institute of NZ.
You may also do them for personal development.

[101 Introduction to Dreamwork:
March 2-3, Fri eve 6-9 and Sat 9.30-4.30 (9 hours).
Focus on basic theory, ethics and a step-by-step process of interpretation.] Send a friend!

102 Dreams of Death, Grief and Healing:
March 30-31. Fri eve 6-9 and Sat 9.30-4.30.
Focus on dreams and visions before death, near death, and in the course of bereavement.

103 Visionary Dreaming:
May 26, Saturday 9.30-4.30 pm (6 hrs).
Focus on the relationship between dreams, visions and spirituality, past and present.

Booking ahead essential. Enrol for each event directly with Margaret.

201 Nightmares and Dreamskills:
Wed evenings, May 9, 16, 23, 30, 7-9 pm (8 hrs).
Focus on working with nightmares and post-trauma dreams; and using practical skills.
Limit 6. Course fee $120, payable direct to M. Bowater.

202 Dream Development Groups
Saturday or Sunday 1.30-4.30 (3 hrs).
Supervised practice groups for trainees.  Limit 6 per group, $50 each event.

Note: Trainees seeking to complete the Certificate in Applied Dreamwork will also need to attend 20 hours of small Peer Practice Groups (unsupervised) and fulfil written requirements.
 

New Courses  for Practitioners  to Refresh Dreamwork Skills:


Dreamwork for Therapists:
Weekday or weeknight series for 3-4 practitioners, eg 3 Friday mornings 10-12
or 3 weeknight evenings 7-9, (6 hrs). $150.

Dreamwork for Spiritual Explorers,

Dreams: Language of the Spirit. 
Includes focus on Biblical/ religious dreams. Each event stands alone, $40 per day. All on Saturdays, 9.30-4.30 pm.

Dreamwork Development Groups, 202

Available for people who have done an introductory workshop and wish to continue developing their skills. By arrangement with small groups, at my home in Northcote, Auckland.
e.g. series of Friday mornings 9.30-12.30 pm, or Saturday or Sunday afternoons 1.30-4.30pm.

I run workshops for interested groups of all kinds by negotiation, e.g.

  • 10-hour workshops (Fri eve/ Saturday) for introduction and basic skill training
  • One-day seminars, on Friday or Saturday or Sunday, on selected aspects of dreamwork, e.g. Dreams Around Death, Dreams of Grief and Healing, Paranormal Dreams, Working with Nightmares and Post-Trauma Dreams.
  • Advanced skill training for practitioners: small groups, eg a series of 3-hour sessions.

 

Introductory Dream Workshops (2-12 hrs) can be run for special groups.
In the last 20 years I have led workshops for many different kinds of groups, including:

  • Branches of the NZ Assn of Counsellors, eg Manawatu, Otago, Whangarei;
  • Psychotherapists;  Transactional Analysis practitioners;  Jung Society;
  • NZ Christian Counsellors;  Bible College students;  a Spiritualist church;
  • Anglican,  Methodist and Presbyterian Parishes;    Catholic nuns; Catholic students;
  • Hospital chaplains; Hospice staff;  Houchen House; Spiritual Companions/ Directors;
  • Friends of the Scientific and Medical Network;  NZ Mind-Body Conference;
  • Women’s service groups; Aiowira Centre;  Waikato University Extension.

I am the author of a book, Dreams and Visions – Language of the Spirit, published 1997 by Tandem Press, Auckland, currently out of print, but obtainable second-hand; 
and also of many published articles on Dreamwork, including a long-running series for Counselling Today, the quarterly magazine of the NZ Association of Counsellors;  and several for Forum, the Journal of the NZ Association of Psychotherapists; and
numerous articles for the international academic quarterly, Transactional Analysis Journal; and two articles for Dreamtime, the magazine of the International Association for the Study of Dreams.
